MISSION
DEMASKUS THEATER COLLECTIVE is keenly aware that it is not popular and, perhaps, borderline taboo to embrace one’s faith or to express religious conviction in the current cultural climate / landscape. Nonetheless, we are unapologetic in our acknowledgement of and belief in God as the seed of our creative energy / spirit / source. We know our stance may be off-putting and even uncomfortable for some who may question the validity of our faith-based practice / process / methodology. Nonetheless, we are unquestionably clear: DEMASKUS does not compromise our aesthetics, audience appreciation, professionalism, production standards, or the integrity of our presentations and public image. WE ARE THEATER.
VISION
DEMASKUS THEATER COLLECTIVE inspires transformation that leads to personal fulfillment, professional purpose, and spiritual upliftment through artistic and authentic voice. We begin every process with GOD as primary collaborator. We give precedence to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and hope for the future. We honor the legacy of those who have brought and taught us. We assume the best and see “failure” as “solution opportunities” for learning and refining. We cultivate strategic advisors, alliances and networks, so as to be guided through growth.

That’s one of the beauties of theatre, it gives us that opportunity for catharsis. It opens up the dialogue and allows us to discuss our demons. I’m very passionate about this, and the more I talk with people, the more I’m convinced that we need to be having these conversations.
