We are artists, administrators and producers engage their creative imaginations to mend breaches, heal the brokenhearted, and promote equity / democracy / justice. Our work is accomplished through the honest, compassionate, and sensitive portrayal of the experiences, histories, and legacies of those who have been systematically oppressed – especially the truth and untold stories of those of the African Diaspora who survived the horror of being stolen from their homeland, the holocaust of middle-passage, the colonization of the Americas, the exploitation of chattel slavery. We start with the voices at our table. While we are proudly Pittsburgh-based, we are nimble and able to move and work in partnership with cultures, communities, and colleagues around the world. We are open and flexible to experiencing the perspectives of those with whom we collaborate.
